Laois has quietly become one of the midlands’ busiest home-building counties, with Portlaoise and Portarlington drawing families down the M7 and a countryside full of farmhouses and bungalows being renovated for another generation. Aloco designs and handcrafts bespoke kitchens for both. We are a Dublin family firm, established in 1980, and our made-to-measure approach suits Laois homes whether the brief is a big open plan kitchen in a new estate or proper pantry storage in a country house outside Stradbally or Abbeyleix.
Every kitchen is built by our own cabinet makers in Santry and fitted by our own team, with the M7 keeping Portlaoise a comfortable run from the workshop. The process starts with a free design consultation at your home, where we measure, listen and talk through layouts and honest costs. If you can make the trip to Dublin, the Boeing Road showroom lets you see cabinetry quality, materials and working appliances before you commit to anything.
For Laois homes we build four collections:
Contemporary Collection: Handleless kitchens with islands for new builds in Portlaoise and Portarlington.
Classic Range: Shaker designs that suit town terraces and country bungalows alike.
Luxury Line: Fully bespoke cabinetry, stone worktops and pantries for farmhouse renovations.
Budget-Friendly Options: Well made kitchens at midlands-friendly prices.
Each one is handmade to measure in our Santry workshop and delivered down the M7 by our own team.
Why Laois homeowners choose Aloco:
Bespoke without the Dublin premium: Workshop-direct pricing travels well down the motorway.
Farmhouse experience: Cabinetry built for thick walls, low ceilings and real pantry storage.
Family firm since 1980: Craft standards kept in the family for three generations.
Irish made: Sustainably sourced materials, built in our own Dublin workshop.
One team, start to finish: The people who design your kitchen also build and fit it.
